About the Author:
Barbara Cole grew up in Red Hill, North Carolina, where Wash Day takes place. She teaches English and Humanities at Sand Hills Community College and enjoys traveling, gardening and photography.
Ronald Himler attended the Cleveland Institute of Art where he majored in painting and illustration. He began his career as an artist of books for children in 1972, and since then he has illustrated nearly 400 books and book covers. He has received more than 35 awards, nominations and citations of excellence.
