To about half a million people each year, Traverse City is the Cherry Festival.For photographer Thomas Kachadurian, Traverse City is just home. These photographs are collected from his life. There are not secret locations or special access; the magic of Traverse City is found in its everyday beauty. In a place where people enjoy a comfortable life in a welcoming community, they can also find the quiet splendor of a walk in the woods or the breathtaking coda of a Great Lakes sunset.

Photographer Thomas Kachadurian makes his home in Traverse City with his wife and two children. His first book, Views from the Sleeping Bear, was published in 1998 and second book, Views from Mackinac Island, in the fall of 2000.Kachadurian holds a Master of Arts degree in English from Wayne State University. His other credits include the photography for History from the Hearth (1996), a cookbook of authentic recipes from colonial Michilimackinac and numerous other book projects, as well as commercial photography for magazines and other clients.
