About the Author:
Charles Maynard -- Executive Director of Friends of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Charles is a United Methodist minister from Chattanooga, Tennessee who has lived in the Knoxville area for many years. He and his wife Janice have two daughters, Carolina and Anna. Charles is the co-author of Waterfalls and Cascades of the Great Smoky Mountains and is the author of Waterfalls of Yellowstone and Waterfalls of the Tetons. He has contributed to hikes in the comprehensive trail guide to the Smokies published by the Natural History Association. Hal Hubbs -- A computer programmer has a love of the Smoky Mountains that goes back to his childhood in Morristown, Tennessee. Hal and his wife, Elizabeth, have a son, Will. Hal is an accomplished photographer and co-author of Waterfalls and Cascades of the Great Smoky Mountains. David Morris -- takes off from his job as a nurse anesthetist to hike int he mountains. Raised in Kentucky, David makes his home in Seymour, Tennessee with Lin, his wife, and four sons, Chris, Brian, Ben and John. David is the co-author of Waterfalls and Cascades of the Great Smoky Mountains. He is a noted photographer with his work in several other books and magazines. His photos are featured in National Geographic's newest destination map on the Great Smoky Mountains.
