Relive dramatic memories of the athlete's will to win through Visions of Victory, the definitive photo exhibition commemorating over 100 years of sports photography.
Revisit Hank Aaron belting his way into baseball immortality; Derek Redmond, aided by his father, limping across the finish line to fulfill their Olympic Dream; Broadway Joe backing up his brash prediction by guiding the New York Jets to a miraculous victory over the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III.
Debuted at the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, Visions of Victory is ready to tour the United States and beyond. Selected by world-renown curators Jane Livingston and Dena Andre, and a panel of judges, the 150 photos chosen for this exhibition were all digitally reproduced from their original images using state-of-the-art technology that translated each masterpiece into high quality artwork. These pictures, recreated, retouched and reprinted in "iris" format with fine-art archival inks, display many of the most memorable scenes in sports history.
Some of the world's most accomplished photographers discuss, on video, the emotional imagery of men and women chasing their dreams, explaining their photographic strategy, as well as the feelings behind the image and the moment in history
With Visions of Victory, the legendary stories your parents and grandparents experienced come to life for all to enjoy once again.
Fernbank Museum visitors were treated to a showcase of motion and emotion captured on film. Video monitors contributed striking and memorable images of events as they unfolded with candid interviews from respected photographers.
Visions of Victory offers sponsors a unique opportunity to share in this extraordinary exhibition with clients and customers.
