When Laura Ingalls Wilder was a little girl in the late 1800's, her family moved nine times in three years. The Wilders faced great hardships on the prairie. Marcy Dunn Ramsey is an illustrator, author, and painter. She studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, St. Mary's College, the University of Maine, and the Maryland Institute College of Art, and her artwork is featured in galleries across the country. She has also illustrated a number of children's books, including The Story of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Megan Stine, as well as Birthday Wishes and Ghostly Tales by Susan Beth Pfeffer.
