Alex Hervey, cross-dresser), shot to death at a rock star's party. A representative host of suspects is questioned, while Bone, a widower, slowly falls victim to the charms of a school teacher. Scenes of rock pandemonium and cheerful, cat-induced domesticity alternate with an otherwise dry-toned, extremely pared down, and narrowly focused plot. Slightly uncomfortable, and short, but for most collections.
