From AudioFile:
Another case begins for Inspector and Charlotte Pitt, Perry's Victorian detectives, as a distinguished jurist dies, poisoned, while attending the theater. The Pitts happen to be in the audience. Much of the delight of the Pitt mysteries lies in the period detail, here especially with the colorful world of the London theater. Terrence Hardiman does a particularly fine job with atmosphere and characterization. He sounds oh so "Masterpiece Theater"--quite apropos for a book that has already seen its way to PBS.
