In my opinion it is one of the better social science methods textbooks on the market. Detailed examples are the strong points of Jackson's textbook, and continue to be in this edition.¿ I think [the Canadian research examples are] the most appealing aspect of the textbook for Canadian audiences; certainly what appeals to me.¿ [The Tables are] good, as in previous editions, always clear and concise and, most important, relevant.¿ [The Student Researcher at Work boxes are] excellent; very useful feature of the text and I know my students always want practical examples to illustrate abstract concepts.
