From School Library Journal:
Grade 3-6 Miscellaneous archaeological information is packed into five two-page chapters. The disjointed, exclamatory text focuses on specific objects and artifacts from prehistory, ancient Egypt, China, Pompeii, and underwater sites. Each chapter has several full-color illustrations and at least one piece of rather ordinary pop-up art. Without enough information for the most elementary report, this book is more a novelty than a helpful introduction to archaeology. Marguerite F. Raybould, Glendale Public Library, Calif.
